Unlike a long scarf, it goes on and comes off in a second, needs no knotting, takes up practically nothing in a bag, and solves those mornings when a coat is enough but an open neck lets the wind through. A discreet accessory that, once adopted, is hard to give up. It is knitted in 100% Peruvian baby alpaca, certified by the International Alpaca Association (AIA), one of the finest fibers of the Andes. Up to three times softer than cashmere and completely hypoallergenic, lanolin-free, it rests directly on the skin of the neck —the most delicate area— without itching or irritation. Its hollow fiber regulates temperature, delivering remarkable warmth for something weighing barely 100 grams. It is a small piece, but it is not made in a hurry: one of our knitters knits it on a hand-operated machine and one of our artisans gives it its hand finish in Cusco. Made in Peru. How to wear it: under a coat as an invisible layer of warmth, or on its own over a sweater to finish a winter look with a detail of noble texture. It works in the city as well as in mountain climates. Care: hand wash in cold water with a mild wool detergent. Do not wring. Dry flat.
